Stage 1 Free Consultation
An initial consultation of approximately15 minutes is provided at no cost. This preliminary discussion enables the Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) to gain a general understanding of the presenting issues, and to make a preliminary assessment.

INTAKE
Stage 2. Intake and Assesment
This process allows the FDRP to gather relevant background information, identify any risk factors, and assess the suitability of the matter for FDR. A formal invitation to participate in FDR is issued to the other party should the matter be deemed suitable
Stage 3. Mediation Session
Upon completion of the intake and assessment process and review of all relevant documentation, a formal invitation to participate in FDR is issued to the other party.


MEDIATION



OUTCOME
Stage 4. Documentation
Following the conclusion of mediation, the FDRP will prepare written documentation reflecting the agreements reached between the parties. These documents are provided to the parties and/or their legal representatives for formalisation or filing as appropriate.
